A Call to Men on PBS

I am so proud to support the inspired work of Tony Porter, Ted Bunch and the entire Call to Men organization.

A CALL TO MEN is a violence prevention organization and respected leader on issues of manhood, male socialization and its intersection with violence, and preventing violence against all women and girls.

One of the organization’s leaders, Ted Bunch, was featured in a recent, groundbreaking PBS piece from journalist Christopher Booker that examines the culture of masculinity and its negative impacts on men. Ted eloquently lays out the challenge and the opportunity ahead for our culture.

Ted Bunch featured in PBS NewsHour piece of the negative impacts of culture of masculinity and its negative impact on men.

In Ted’s words:

“We're the first generation of men being held accountable for something men have always gotten away with. And we are going to deconstruct manhood, we are going to deconstruct, we are going to lift it up. right, because this is not an indictment on manhood. It's actually an invitation to men.”

Ted works with our country’s major sports leagues — the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS — providing policy consultation and facilitating violence prevention and healthy manhood training. He was invited to help lead the #TimesUp Engaging Men efforts and is providing ongoing healthy manhood and sexual harassment prevention training throughout the entertainment industry, at organizations like CAA, UTA and WGA.
