The value of giving has stayed with me even when I was starting out as an entrepreneur and investing every cent I had into my businesses.

I’ve been told over the years by potential acquisition suitors, that our company punches above its weight, not only in terms of business performance, but also in terms of the impact of our philanthropy through the work of the Michael Stars Foundation.

Part of the reason we’ve been able to do this is because we practice trust-based, frictionless giving. I think every small-to-medium sized company has a huge opportunity to get more impact from their giving.
